Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump's former campaign manager, has indicated to the Washington Post that she is considering heading up an external, pro-Trump group.
Citing insiders, a Politico report states that the plan is “to launch a new political organization outside the White House and the Republican Party to harness the energy that powered his populist candidacy…”
The idea for it is said to have been inspired by the group 'Organizing for America' which President Obama’s team put together after his 2008 win.
While the new entity is still in the process of being formed, Conway described it to the Post as “a surround-sound super structure.”
And the current motto of group 'Unleash the Potential' reportedly reflects the fast and widespread changes the Trump administration expects to make once he takes office.
According to The Hill, "One of the first priorities for the group would be to defend Trump's Cabinet nominees if Democrats try to block confirmations."
While it is unclear if Conway will head the group, she has reportedly backed its formation and acknowledges that a close Trump ally will need to run it.
