'Game of Thrones' actor Peter Vaughan dies at 93

"Game of Thrones" actor Peter Vaughan has passed away at age 93 on Tuesday. The British actor played Maester Aemon on the HBO drama for five seasons, and had a long and distinguished acting career. The actor joined the show during its first season in 2011 as the blind maester of Castle Black with a mysterious past. Before joining "Thrones," Vaughan's credits date all the way back to 1954, appearing in films such as 1985’s "Brazil" and 1993’s "The Remains of the Day." Vaughan was born in 1923 and served in Normandy and Belgium during World War II.
