LSU's Leonard Fournette decides to enter 2017 NFL Draft
  • 7 years ago
LSU's powerhouse running back Leonard Fournette announced his decision Monday to forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft. I will be declaring for the 2017 NFL draft after our bowl game. I make this announcement now so that there will not be speculation and distractions while we prepare. I want everyone to know that I will forever treasure my experience as a Tiger. Fournette is a highly touted NFL prospect and regarded by ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay as the best talent in the upcoming draft. The 21-year-old has rushed for 843 yards and eight touchdowns in seven games this season, but has been bothered by nagging ankle issues. As a sophomore, Fournette set an SEC record by rushing for 162.8 yards per game.
