Minnesota Vikings' head coach Mike Zimmer was forced to have emergency eye surgery last night and will not be coaching the team during Thursday Night Football. Zimmer had two previous eye surgeries in the month of November, the first to repair a detached retina and the second to "have another thing done." Mike Preifer, the special teams coach, will serve as the interim head coach for the game against the Cowboys on Thursday, General Manager Rick Spielman announced. The Vikings started the season 5-0 but are currently 6-5 and in second place in the NFC North.
