Navdy is a new gadget for your car that will let you keep your eyes on the road while you follow directions. Navdy uses a smartphone-connected, dashboard-mounted heads up display that sits between the steering wheel and the windshield and projects clear maps, phone alerts and other information for the driver. The gadget pulls direction from Google Maps and will also briefly display pop-up alerts, such as texts message, briefly onscreen. It can also display your car's instrument panel, like the speedometer and the tachometer. Navdy comes with a dial that attaches to the steering wheel, making the the display a non-touch screen. Moving forward, Navdy founder and CEO Doug Simpson, says that the company will start looking into automakers to create a built-in display instead of a mounted one.
