Many people around the U.S. are forgoing the trip into department stores to do their holiday shopping on Cyber Monday. According to data from Foursquare, foot traffic in stores is expected to fall by about 3.5 percent on Black Friday compared to last year. Approximately 102 million shoppers made the trek into stores over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in 2015, down from 147 million in 2012, according to the National Retail Federation (NTF). More shoppers are gravitating towards the convenience of online shopping and Cyber Monday deals. Online shopping sales are forecast to grow between 7 and 10 percent from last year to as much as $117 billion.
