Selena Gomez broke her silence at the American Music Awards after taking a break since August to deal with depression and anxiety. The 24-year-old singer, who was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease, took home the Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist award. Gomez was also nominated for Artist of the Year award. "I had everything, and I was . . . absolutely broken inside. And I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down," Gomez said at the event.
