The NFL has cautioned both Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders players to not leave their respective hotels during their stay in Mexico, where they will be playing their first regular season game since 2005. The Associated Press reported that the NFL sent out a memo to both the Texans and the Raiders instructing the two teams not to leave the hotel or to order room service. The memo read "eat all meals in the meal room. DO NOT order room service" and "DO NOT eat outside of the team meal room." Furthermore, the league also told players to leave expensive jewelry at home. The league previously warned players that digestion of meat in foreign countries like China and Mexico could lead to a positive test for the performance-enhancing drug clenbutrol.
