Japan’s PM strives to ‘build trust’ with Donald Trump

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he wants to build trust with President-elect Trump when they meet on Thursday in New York. Abe told CNN. This meeting comes amid concerns over the foreign policy direction of the U.S. now that Trump will be president. During his presidential campaign, Trump previously said that U.S. military may withdraw from Japan's shores. The future president noted that Japan needs to pay more if it wants to maintain U.S. troops on its soil.
