During a Wednesday interview on 'The Bernie and Sid Show,' Leno said, "I was lucky I lived in an era when Clinton was horny and Bush was dumb...it was what we called a simpler time."
He continued, “I'm sort of glad I wasn't in this one...this is like the ugliest campaign. Ultimately there's a negative effect. Look at the whole country, the whole country is bummed out…You fall into that trap if you have a late night show, everybody ends up doing the same Trump joke each night.”
Leno was the host of 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' for over a decade, retiring in 2014.
