Ivanka Trump: No Plans To Join Father’s Administration

Ivanka Trump has stated in a recent '60 Minutes' interview that she does not plan to take a formal role in her father’s administration.

Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka was often viewed as a popular figure during her father’s 2016 presidential campaign, but she says she doesn’t plan to become a formal member of the president-elect's team.
During a recent interview with her family on '60 Minutes,' Ivanka said of her role after Trump takes office, “I'm going to be a daughter. But I've said throughout the campaign that I am very passionate about certain issues. And that I want to fight for them.”
She is also quoted as adding, “Wage equality, childcare. These are things that are very important to me. I’m very passionate about education. Really promoting more opportunities for women. So, you know there are a lot of things that I feel deeply, strongly about. But not in a formal administrative capacity.”
These comments support a statement Ivanka made to Fast Company in October when she said in an interview, “No, I don't intend to be part of the government.”
However, the Washington Post reports that she, along with her husband and brothers, have been given roles in the president-elect's transition team.
