President-elect Donald Trump has asked his running mate, Mike Pence, to take over the transition team efforts from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
The New York Times, which first reported Pence's new title, said Trump "told advisers he wanted to tap Mr. Pence’s Washington experience and contacts to help move the process along."
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Christie have been named as vice chairs of the transition team.
