Jose Fernandez posthumously earns NL comeback award from peers

Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez, who passed away in a boating accident on September 25, was voted NL comeback player of the year by his peers.
The award was given as part of the Players Choice Awards that are voted on by every member of the Major League Baseball Players Association.
Fernandez was the NL Rookie of the Year in 2013 before having Tommy John surgery in 2014.
He was 16-8 this year with a 2.68 ERA before he passed away at age 24.
