Heartwarming footage of Ed Sheeran visiting a hospital in the UK to serenade a young fan with a rare brain condition.

The video, filmed on Wednesday afternoon, shows the songwriter popping into the Casey Ward at Epsom Hospital in Surrey, UK, to sing nine-year-old Melody Driscoll.

Sheeran gave Melody - who suffers with Rett Syndrome, causing physical and mental disability - a signed pink guitar before singing Thinking Out Loud and Photograph.
