Paralyzed monkeys regain control of limbs after brain implants
  • 7 years ago
Research has found that a new form of brain implant could one day help people with paraplegia regain control of their legs.
Scientists in Switzerland restored movement in the legs of two paralyzed monkeys within two weeks of them being injured.
One of the monkeys regained control of his legs just after six days.
The brain implant wirelessly restores communication between the brain and spinal cord.
