According to the Washington Post, many cited the FBI director’s announcement of a renewed investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails as the turning point in a race that seemed all but assured.
Chris Cillizza of the Post said via Twitter, “I asked D strategist close to Clinton WTF is going on. Response ‘One word: Comey.’”
The New York Times’ Nicholas Kristof tweeted, “If Trump wins, I suspect he owes a big ‘thank you’ to Jim Comey.”
Ann Brenoff, who is with the Huffington Post, posted to Facebook, “Comey should be charged with interfering with an election.”
