Scientists turn to dogs to help detect breast cancer

Dogs could help screen for breast cancer: that's what a collaboration between a dog training business near Limoges and the Curie Cancer Institute is hoping to find. The K-Dog project trains dogs to use their sense of smell to pick up on the tumours. The non-invasive method could revolutionise testing for the cancer, which affects nearly one in ten women in France.
