Chiefs place running back Jamaal Charles on injured reserve

Chiefs' Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles will see another NFL season end on injured reserve after Kansas City placed him on the list Tuesday. Charles ends up on IR for the second straight season after finding out he needed a second surgery on his injured knee. The earliest Charles can return is Kansas City's Week 17 game against the Chargers, a game which could have playoff implications. The veteran back ran for just 40 yards on 12 carries in three games this season.
