The song interprets for us surreal images and metaphors about the connection with our hometown and our roots. Just like the tired actors have left the stage because the play has become ambiguous, Mik has so many times wished to leave his home in search of a different life.
The video for the song talks about the “other side” of globalization: the difficult road to equality and social integration. The young people involved in the video are ethnically diverse and they’re in search of freedom that is sometimes so painful to find. And with the letters that are on the chests of each person in the video, they form the word “Nation”: which can hopefully will bring together people from all over the world.
