FBI agents knew about Clinton-related emails weeks ago

The discovery of a trove of emails from one of Hillary Clinton's top aides occurred weeks ago and was known to FBI agents, But they waited weeks before briefing the FBI director, according to people familiar with the case.
FBI Director James Comey has written that he was informed of the development Thursday.
The new probe comes 10 days before Election Day in a closely contested White House race between Clinton and Trump.
