Baby Elephant Takes A Tumble

Safari guide Jamie Paterson discovered a newborn elephant in a shady riverbed on this sunset drive. Jamie found the elephant herd, with an identifiable female elephant named Fang - known for her tusks that grow in opposite directions. The team waited patiently for the newborn baby elephant, estimated to be only an hour old to make an appearance. When he finally revealed himself the adorable newborn was still a little wobbly on his feet and took a tumble down a small bank as he tried to keep up with the herd. Luckily with the protection of Fang and his mother, they were there to support the calf as he balanced himself into his big new world.
