Good Samaritan in Native American headdress disarms shooter on Portland train

PORTLAND, OREGON — A good Samaritan helped disarm a gun-wielding teenager on a Portland light rail train while rocking a Native American headdress.
KGW reports that the teen shooter was on the train around 8:34 p.m. on Tuesday when he was confronted by a man he knew about missing money.
The two got into a heated argument, during which the teen took out a gun. He fired two shots, which luckily didn’t hit his intended victim or anyone else.
As the MAX train approached 102nd Avenue station on East Burnside street, Rambo Richardson was waiting on the platform. Richardson, who later said he was out that day to get some weed from Oregon’s Best Meds, saw the scuffle inside and decided to help.
When Richardson rushed inside the train, he saw the victim had more or less overpowered the shooter and already had him in a headlock. He quickly took the gun from the shooter’s hands and held onto it until police arrived.
Local media quickly declared Richardson a hero, though he points out in several posts on Facebook that he doesn’t deserve full credit, as it was a team effort between him and the shooter’s intended victim, a man named Miguel.
