On Wednesday, the Democratic National Committee, or DNC, filed a suit to stop the Republic National Committee (RNC) from acting on Donald Trump’s claims of election fraud.

On Wednesday, the Democratic National Committee, or DNC, filed a suit to stop the Republic National Committee (RNC) from acting on Donald Trump’s claims of election fraud, reports CNN.
It requests that the RNC cease its support of Trump’s plan to station ‘watchers’ at voting locations he suspects are vulnerable to rigging, notes Bloomberg.
Trump campaign has been very vocal about the belief that “certain areas” are especially high risk.
In the filing, attorneys for the DNC write, “Unsurprisingly, those 'certain areas' are exclusively communities in which large minority voting populations reside."
Also noted is that taking “ballot security” measures would be in violation of a legal agreement that has been in place for decades.
It stems from a 1981 election for governor in New Jersey, notes Politico.
Armed off-duty officers were sent to monitor ballot casting in a number of neighborhoods predominantly occupied by minorities.
In doing so, they called the eligibility of a number of voters into question.
