Bruno, age 7, went missing from his Estevan, Saskatchewan farm in mid-September, and his family had given up almost all hope that he would return.
Then, on October 14th, something remarkable happened.
One of the family’s other dogs stationed itself in a nearby field and refused to move.
An investigation of the area followed, and Bruno was found stuck in the mud at the bottom of a well.
He was pulled from the muck and taken to an area veterinary hospital.
Reduced to little more than skin and bones, staffers didn’t think he’d make it many more days, but he did and continues to fight on towards recovery.
