The Massachusetts senator specifically targeted a comment Trump made during the last presidential debate when he called Clinton “such a nasty woman.”
In front of a large New Hampshire crowd, Warren addressed Trump directly, stating, “Nasty women have really had it with guys like you. Get this, Donald--nasty women are tough, nasty women are smart, and nasty women vote.”
After the audience cheered, she went on to say, “And on November 8th, we nasty women are going to march our nasty feet to cast our nasty votes to get you out of our lives forever.”
The Washington Post reports that Clinton supporters have similarly turned Trump’s controversial comment into a positive on social media by posting defiant messages referencing the term; many even include the hashtag “NastyWomanVoter.”
