On Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden gave an impassioned campaign speech in New Hampshire where he questioned Donald Trump’s intelligence.
In one part, Biden referenced the Republican nominee’s claim during the third presidential debate that neither Hillary Clinton nor the U.S. intelligence community knows who is behind the Democratic party leaks.
Biden quoted Trump’s response that “our country has no idea.”
The vice president fired back, “What an indictment of who we are. What an indictment of our capabilities. What an indictment of our military….And then he says, as the major party candidate, for the world to hear, playing into the hands of Putin, that our country has no idea.”
Biden then went on to criticize Trump’s claim that the military moved on Mosul in Iraq because Hillary Clinton is “‘running for the office of president, and they wanted her to look tough.’”
Biden asked the audience, “Can you imagine this guy becoming commander-in-chief and getting one ounce of respect from a single solitary military man or woman?”
The vice president then declared, “He plays into the hands of our enemies so uniquely. It’s either he is so stupid that he doesn’t understand...it’s possible he doesn’t understand the damage he’s doing.”
