Hero cop saves life of 3-year-old boy who stopped breathing

GRANBURY CITY, TEXAS — A Texas cop is being honored this week after he saved the life of a boy who stopped breathing last Wednesday at a KFC parking lot.
Officer Chase Miller was close by when he heard dispatch send out a call for paramedics, so he went to investigate, Texas newspaper the Star-Telegram reported.
Dashcam footage of the incident shows the moment Miller arrives. He is handed the child, named Brayden Geis, by his crying mother.
The 3-year-old reportedly suffered a seizure due to a high temperature of around 106 degrees Fahrenheit. Brayden stopped breathing and became unresponsive.
The footage shows Miller performing CPR. At one point the officer gets Brayden’s dad to help with the process while he retrieves a CPR mask from his car. Miller continued CPR until the boy resumed breathing.
Brayden was taken to a local hospital where he received treatment and made a full recovery, according to a Tribune Media Wire report on KTLA.com.
Brayden and his parents this week got to meet and thank Miller at a Granbury City Council meeting, where the officer was presented with a lifesaving award.
In a funny twist, it turns out Brayden’s favorite cartoon character from the television show Paw Patrol, is a dog named Chase.
So, in a very cool gesture, Miller presented Brayden with a Chase toy. What a guy.
