Flaming pumpkin crashes down metres away from filmer

Footage has emerged from the US of a man almost getting hit by a 'flaming pumpkin' shot from a large catapult.

The video, captured in Ohio on Saturday, shows the burning projectile landing very close to where the filmer is standing.

According to the man behind the camera, the pumpkin launcher was built by his friend, who is an engineer.

"He has had it for a few years, and every October he has a clam bake/low country boil and flaming pumpkin launch party. It's always a great time!" he wrote online.
