Amazon to add 120,000 workers for the holidays

Amazon said Thursday it will add more than 120,000 seasonal employees across its fulfillment centers, sortation and customer service sites in advance of the upcoming holiday season. More than 14,000 seasonal positions were transitioned to regular, full-time roles after the holidays last year, and the company expects to increase that number this year, Amazon said. The e-commerce giant saw its fourth-quarter profit in 2015 more than double on higher demand from online shoppers during the holiday season.
