Tic Tac Calls Trump’s 2005 Comments About Women ‘Unacceptable’

Tic Tac USA has issued a response after the candy was mentioned in a recording where Donald Trump made lewd comments about women.

The 2005 recording of Donald Trump making lewd comments about women has caused one notable company to speak out.
On October 8, Tic Tac USA tweeted the message, “Tic Tac respects all women. We find the recent statements and behavior completely inappropriate and unacceptable.”
This statement was made following Trump’s reference to the candy in the tape; he can be heard talking about preparing to meet a woman by saying, “I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful [women] — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”
The GOP nominee has since issued a video apology, stating in part, “Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize.”
However, many top Republicans have openly withdrawn their support.
Tic Tac joins another brand which was pulled into a Trump campaign controversy; Donald Trump Jr. had previously compared Syrian refugees to Skittles to which the candy company responded, in part, “Skittles are candy. Refugees are people.”
