Stefano Miele, al mixer Riva Starr, da qualche anno è uno dei più importanti dj del panorama house. Dopo anni di sperimentazioni a Napoli, si è trasferito a Londra e da lì fa ballare il mondo con sonorità originali e sempre divertenti. Collabora con mostri sacri come Pete Tong (ad aprile hanno fatto uscire insieme la compilation Future Underground) e le release della sua label, Snatch!, non mancano mai nelle borse dei colleghi più famosi al mondo. Dopo aver creato con "I Was Drunk" un ritmo imitato in decine e decine di produzioni, dopo aver dato nuova vita a un classico come "Splendido Splendente" della Rettore.... Riva Starr torna a guardare all'Italia collaborando con i Sud Sound System, storica band salentina con vent'anni di carriera alle spalle. Il risultato è "Orizzonti", una bomba che farà ballare l'Italia e non solo per tutta l'estate 2011. Il sound è pura dancehall, ma mescola anche hip hop ed house internazionale dando un messaggio universale: "Abbattiamo le frontiere, la musica è libertà...", cantano i Sud Sound System, produce Riva Starr...
The track is a collaboration between italian top dj producer Riva Starr and Sud Sound System, one the most important and seminal band in italian hip hop. "Orizzonti" is a song about passion for music and mixes hip hop and house! The video was awarded as Best Video at Murgia Film Festival in Gravina di Puglia (Ba, Italy) in September 2011. Riva Starr is a name that should be very familiar to anyone with an interest in modern house music. Having shot to the top after a string of head turning releases and remixes on some of the most talked about labels, Riva Starr couldn't be hotter right now. What's quite remarkable though is how quickly Stefano Miele, aka Riva Starr has established himself so prominently on a DJ/producer circuit that's notoriously difficult to break into. It doesn't hurt that Claude VonStroke and Jesse Rose, the two men who sit on top of the pile, happen to be two of his biggest fans.
