Officially named as Lav Khush Barrage, this bridge across the Ganges lies at Azad Nagar-Nawabganj in Kanpur. Thousands of city denizens flock to Ganga Barrage in their leisure time every day. At the barrage, the visitors enjoy the beauty of Ganga and its shores. The site also attracts the attention of the city folks as the place offers relief from the city's maddening crowd. Its construction started in 1995 and inaugurated in May 2000. The total length is 621 meter and will serve as a four-lane Highway Bypass for NH 91.
