The Asan reserve serves as a key halt for trans-Himalayan migratory birds and receives waterfowl migrants that are rare elsewhere. Like previous years, common teal, red crested pochard, little cormorant and mallard are also being seen at the wetland of Asan Barrage in Dehradun.
