THURMONT, MARYLAND — A Maryland police force is buzzing with excitement after their first undercover operation at a fast food joint became a resounding success.

The Frederick News-Post reports that police officers in the small town of Thurmont had been receiving complaints about drugs being sold at the local Burger King.

Lucky for them, a new recruit had just come in. Having started work at the Thurmont Police Department on July 1, Officer Nicole Fair was the perfect person to suss out druggies in the tight-knit community.

Fair went undercover as a fake Burger King employee for the two-month operation. During that time, 23-year-old co-worker Tommy Lee Miller sold her marijuana, while another guy, 28-year-old Jonathan Brook Moser, sold her not just weed, but also morphine pills.

Both employees were arrested. Miller was charged with possession and distribution of marijuana, while Moser was charged with selling marijuana and morphine.

In total, the operation netted 5 grams of marijuana and two morphine pills. Miller and Moser were indicted by a grand jury and are facing a $5,000 bail.
