Kanpur: Long wait for smart driving licenses not to end soon

Long wait for smart driving licenses in Kanpur is not going to end soon. The construction of building meant for issuing smart driving licenses has come to a halt due to charges of corruption. The construction was to be completed by 30th Sept, 2015. Single window system was supposed to be in place by Jan 1, 2016. However the wait for Kanpurites seems to be only getting longer.
