Snatchers on bike drag woman on Ranchi Main road

Mother of seven and a widow, 53-year-old Manawara Khatoon overpowered two snatchers on a bike in Ranchi on Thursday. The woman fell down trying to fend off her attackers, was badly cut and bruised, but she didn't let go of her bag. She withdrew Rs 1 lakh from the Rajendra Chowk branch of Union Bank. When the incident took place she was walking towards the homeopathic clinic on Main Road when a bike vroomed close and the man on the pillion tugged at her shoulder bag. She clutched the bag tighter. There was a police van parked nearby. The bike dragged her along and she fell on road.
