Notes: New York Giants fall to 2-1 on the season with the 29-27 home defeat to the Washington Redskins as a -3 ½ point favorite. The total went over 47 points. New York was unable to respond to a Redskins 37 yards game winning field goal with just under two minutes left. They moved the ball for 457 yards with 120 on the ground rushing for nearly six yards a carry. Eli Manning hit on 25 of 38 passes for 350 yards with a touchdown and two picks. They did have a -2 turnover margin for the game. On defense they allowed Kirk Cousins to pass for 296 yards and two touchdown passes but 0 of 4 in the red zone.

Minnesota improves to 3-0 with the 22-10 road victory to the Carolina Panthers as a +6 point betting underdog. The total went under 43 points. After allowing 10 points in the first 10 minutes of the game the Vikings held the Panthers scoreless the rest of the way. The defense put heavy pressure on Cam Newton sacking him eight times. They allowed 306 yards to the Carolina offense. Minnesota gained 211 yards of offense with their run game stuffed. Sam Bradford hit on 18 of 28 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown.
