NEW YORK — Former congressman Anthony Weiner has been outed yet again for a sex scandal involving a high school student in North Carolina.
Weiner’s chats with the 15-year-old started in January, when the girl looked Weiner up on Twitter. She claims she thought he’d stopped using his account, given his prior transgressions. To her surprise, Weiner was still online, and the two exchanged direct messages.
Weiner sent the girl photos of him in his underwear, in a hot tub, as well as other seductive shots. The student said they discussed teacher-sex fantasies of being in a classroom, with the girl wearing a plaid skirt and being “taken” after school.
The girl reported their exchange to the Daily Mail, complete with screenshots of their text conversations. After the expose this week, the NYPD Special Victims Unit has launched an investigation into his conduct, and a subpoena for Weiner’s cell phone has been issued by a federal prosecutor of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
This all comes less than a month after Weiner’s wife, Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, announced the couple would finally be separating after years of trying to overcome Weiner’s cyber flirtations.
The two still share their New York apartment, where they currently reside with their 4-year-old son.
