Carson Palmer had a huge game as the veteran quarterback hit on 18 of 31 passes for 308 yards with three touchdowns. They had a +5 turnover margin as they picked off four Jameis Winston passes. The Cardinals held Tampa Bay to 306 yards of offense with 85 on the ground on 21 rushing attempts.

Buffalo fell to 0-2 with the 37-31 home defeat to the New York Jets as a -1 point favorite. The game went over 40 ½ points. The Bills defense was torched by Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who threw for 374 yards and a touchdown. The Bills allowed three rushing touchdowns to New York back Matt Forte. The Bills offense showed great improvement from week one yet they still fired their offensive coordinator the following day. Tyrod Taylor hit on 18 of 30 passes for 297 yards with three touchdowns and a pick.
