The New Orleans Saints released running back C.J. Spiller Tuesday after he signed a four-year, $16 million free-agent contract last season. Spiller was a healthy scratch this past Sunday when the Saints faced the Raiders, but injuries and a porous 2015 season contributed to his dismissal. In 2015, Spiller gained 112 yards rushing and 239 yards receiving in 13 games.
