5 takeaways from Apple's iPhone 7 launch event

iOS 10 will bring a ton of new features for enriching iMessage, improving Maps and making Siri more useful with extension support. Apple Music received a design makeover. The personalized playlist generator called Discovery Mix could sway Spotify users to switch sides. You’ll also see lyric integration and a simplified interface.  Nintendo creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced Super Mario Run will make its way to iOS this holiday season at a fixed price. The most noticeable change to the Apple Watch 2 is the addition of a new, water-resistant shell, which makes the watch swimproof up to 50 meters. The company also upgraded the processor in the device, now called the S2. A Nike+ edition was also announced and will go on sale the same time as the Apple Watch 2 on Sept. 16. The headliner of this Apple event is undoubtedly the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Apple added IP67 water resistance to the iPhone — a feature similar to the original Apple Watch. The iPhone 7 does not have a headphone jack but comes equipped with a new dual camera system, which allows for true 2x optical zoom. Apple says the new phone will be available for purchase on September 16th, though preorders start today.
