Novak Djokovic defeats Kyle Edmund and Rafael Nadal crashes out of US Open

Novak Djokovic ended British hope Kyle Edmund’s run at the US Open last night, beating him in straight sets to go through to the quarter-finals.
Despite battling an arm injury once again, Djokovic prevailed 6-2 6-1 6-4 at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal suffered yet another embarrassing defeat, crashing out of the tournament to Lucas Pouille in five sets.
The world no.25 defeated the Spaniard 6-1 2-6 6-4 3-6 7-6 (8-6), to leave the 14-time grand slam winner to debate over what had let him down this time.
