An unusual video has emerged from Malaysia of an Uber driver drawing upon a bizarre conspiracy theory in an attempt to explain the cause of traffic jams.

The footage, captured by a tourist in Kuala Lumpur, records the arcane explanation given by the driver about what, and who, causes the city's bad traffic.

The driver can be heard explaining that the illuminati, who are also lizards, are the cause of traffic because they like to create "negative energy".

The passenger can be heard feigning astonishment as the driver goes on to claim that Queen Elizabeth II is also a lizard.
