According to the National Geographic, the orbs will be involved in an annular solar eclipse that will begin near Gabon at the local time of roughly 8:30 am.
That sort differs from a total eclipse in that a complete obstruction does not occur.
Due to the moon’s distance from Earth, when the two are aligned a glowing ring of sun can be seen behind the darkened disc of the lunar body.
The prime place for viewing the phenomenon is within an approximately 60-mile wide stretch spanning across equatorial Africa and into Madagascar.
Those located outside of the limited area won’t be completely left out, as they stand a good chance of witnessing a partial eclipse.
