This Device Will Sample An Asteroid That Could Hit Earth

This August 2014 test footage from Lockheed Martin demonstrates the TAGSAM device, which will be used to capture loose rock samples from the asteroid Bennu, a near-Earth-object that has a 1-in-2700 chance of impacting our planet in the coming decades. The TAGSAM instrument's arm keeps the touch light in Bennu's microgravity.
