If the love in a marriage is not for the sake of God, even the most insignificant sickness is enough to end the love

ADNAN OKTAR: "The passionate love that is displayed in TV series is actually something no one has but everyone longs for. Why can't people have it despite wanting it so much?" Demir asks. On the TV series, the boy falls in love with the girl, but the girl has a car, a house. She has a wealthy father. She speaks foreign languages and is a collage graduate. In other words, she is a golden goose. If you pay attention, in the movies, the men women fall in love with usually live in mansions. They have luxury cars, summer suits, winter houses, etc. They have maids in their houses. These people do not go and fall in love with a poor, modest, pious Muslim; which means that the reality is quite different. People should be taught to love for the sake of God. When it is not learned, even if people get married, soon they start to think that they have made a mistake. "I am a rich guy and I have the means. I married this girl but I have seen girls much more beautiful than her. Why should I spend my whole life with her when I can do better? I can find someone more beautiful," they say. So they left their wives for someone more beautiful. Or the women say; "There are men wealthier than him, with more means. I will go find one." Their love just does not endure. If you do not aim for the appreciation of God, you will be drowned in these standards. Because you will always hesitate. You will not be able to completely make up your mind. You will always feel regret. People get married and quickly regret it, get married and regret it... They even regret it the moment they got married, the moment they stepped inside their new homes, they regret because they think they could do better. However, regret has no place in Islam. One should love for the sake of God. This makes one a better person. Love can be improved through the moral values of the Quran. For example, when the woman is stricken with even the smallest disease, for example breast cancer, it is over. The love quickly withers away. The man says, "Let's divorce while we can." For example, the man goes bankrupt. The woman calls him every name in the book. Woman becomes very aggressive when a man runs out of money. I am talking about large number of such people, not few. The woman, who has never used such words before starts to swear. She becomes aggressive and disrespectful. She loses her temper. Whereas when he is wealthy, words cannot describe the extent of her courteousness. In other words, her courteousness is in direct proportion to his wealth. As the money diminishes, so does the respect. This is horrible. However, this does not happen with those who have faith. They love their partners for their faith. They love each other for the sake of God, as a manifestation of God. And when they do so, their faith increases; and when their faith increases, so does the love.
