Demonstrators who are protesting against land confiscation were forced dismantle their camp early on Sunday morning.
Residents of Michaungkan -- a suburb of Rangoon -- had been holding a sit-in for the past five days in in a park near Sule Pagoda.
The protestors say their land was taken from them by the military in 1990 -- and they want it back.
