European Union election observers have fanned out across the country, charged with keeping a close eye on Burma’s electoral process in the lead-up to the country’s 8 November election. This week, DVB set down with the chief of the European Union Election Observer Mission Alexander Graf Lambsdorff. The German discussed the mandate that his team has been issued, and how they will use it to contribute to electoral fairness in Burma.
