The Arizona Cardinals are headed to the road to meet the San Diego Chargers in a week 2 NFL pro football preseason game set for Friday.

Notes: Arizona fell to 0-1 in the preseason with the 31-10 home defeat to the Oakland Raiders as a -2 ½ point favorite. The total went over 37 points. The Cardinals fell behind 17-3 after one quarter. They did move the football effectively on the ground with 172 yards on 35 carries. Matt Barkley was a huge disappointment as he got a good look and went 8 of 24 for 121 yards and a pick. Defensively Arizona allowed 322 yards to the Raiders offense but 166 came running the football on only 21 carries.

San Diego is 0-1 in the preseason following the 27-10 road defeat to the Tennessee Titans as a +3 point betting underdog. The total finished over 36 ½ points. The Chargers defense was lit up in defeat by allowing 437 yards to the Tennessee offense. The run game was terrible as the Titans rolled up 288 yards on 33 carries. Backup Kellen Clemens saw extended action for the team under center and completed 8 of 15 passes for 96 yards. A highlight on offense was a Melvin Gordon 44 yard touchdown reception.
