Justice Dept: Baltimore police practiced racially discriminatory policies

A Justice Department investigation has concluded that Baltimore police consistently arrest the city's black residents without provocation.
The report is a culmination of a yearlong investigation into one of the country's largest police forces.
"These violations have deeply eroded the relationship between the police and community it serves," said the head of the Justice Department's civil rights division Vanita Gupta.
The report found inadequacies in the department's training, policies and supervision.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said the report's findings are crucial towards reforming the BPD.
The report was originally commissioned at the advice of Blake after last year's unrest following the death of Freddie Gray in police custody.
